Am I the only one getting excited about A Year In the Life's - performance at this years WSOP? He is doing fantastically well as I write this - 12th of all 235 runners left from a field of 6ooo+. What a story.
Due to my self imposed ban at Hills and Ladbrokes there has been very little poker for me. I played in the Full Tilt $2ok Free Roll where I finished 498th of 3ooo5 for a massive $2.4o. I span this up to $76 then registered for 3 x $2o SNG where I ran KK into AA, 99 into Q1o and cant remember the other one, but busto anyway.
Now I doubt you will find this at all amusing but I shall share a little incident that I took part in earlier. Whilst I waiting to cross the road a car was kind enough to slow down, with the driver waving me across. Now normally you would say thanks, although they cant actually hear you - you just hope they can lip read and dont think you are saying cunt. You may even give a little wave as an acknowledgement. I tried something a little different - a cheeky nazi salute, and then I made my way to the other side of the road.
Elsewhere not a lot has been happening. My boy and I were presented with our red belts on Friday at karate. I made the mistake of answering the instructors question, "Who has a birthday this month?" To which I stuck my had up saying yes its on the 17th. My reward was to be used as the class punch bag so they could get a feel or what punching someone really felt like. Thanks for that.
Musically I have been listening to Steely Dan and Marc Bolan all weekend. Pleased to say my boy is liking this choice too.
No women action for me. I am trying to be good and not do anything stupid i.e. sleep with people I really shouldnt. Some of the girls who work at the restaurant though are absolutely beautiful but alas I am too old for them now. Still it has perked up my social life no end as I have started to go for drinks with them all after work.
Big shout going out to my homeboys Two Fingered Ted, Dan the Span, Would Be (gay), Mr Origami, Rubbish, Mr Anon (misunderstood) and the top man that is Kancho - hope you are feeling better and things are on the up.
